Publishing Policy

Effective date: March 27, 2026

Our Commitment

ProductMetrics is a reference resource for product managers and teams. Every metric definition, formula, and benchmark we publish should be accurate, clearly sourced, and useful. We take this responsibility seriously.

Our Standards

  • Accuracy — Metric definitions and formulas are verified against established industry sources. We distinguish between universally accepted definitions and those that vary across organizations.
  • Sourcing — Benchmarks include context about their source, sample size, and applicability. We note when benchmarks are approximations.
  • Corrections — If we discover an error, we correct it promptly. Our GitHub repository provides a complete revision history.
  • Independence — Content decisions are not influenced by vendors, tool providers, or advertisers. We do not accept sponsored content or paid placements.
  • Transparency — Our API serves the same data shown on the site. The data is static and open — no hidden transformations.
